I have a lot of friends and family that are unhappy with their image. They have the ideas of their own personal style but never have the confidence to try to pull it off. I understand that the way you dress influences your mood and also gives people an insight into your personality without having to speak a word. First impressions last, so I believe making an outstanding one, is imperative.
I took the Professional Photo, Film, TV & Personal Stylist’s Course, as I wanted to help people. This course gave me the strength and confidence to teach and spread my knowledge. It was welcomed with open arms from those close to me and I have noticed a huge improvement in their confidence and general demeanor.
I knew this course would give me some insight on what it takes to make it big in the styling industry and show me some steps to get there but I actually learnt much more than I expected.
I have now landed a job as a visual merchandiser and professional stylist for a large fashion clothing company in Australia. In my role I get to utilise my skills, which my employer told me, made me ‘a cut above the rest’. I am a personal shopper for any customers that walk through the door. I love the bounce in their step when they leave the store, now knowing what to look for and feeling as though their life has changed.
I owe all of this to the Australian College of Professional Styling. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It has not only secured me in my dream job with a trusted Australian brand, but also given me the confidence to think outside the square with clothing and inspire others to do the same.
I feel as though the sky is the limit. With my new found knowledge and confidence (as well as practical tools and constant feedback from tutors gained as I worked my way through this course) I feel I can do anything. I have already started to climb the corporate ladder in my job, as a result of showing initiative and maximising sales by spending quality time with customers and giving them their desired service and results.
