Styling was a dream of mine for many years and the Australian College of Professional Styling provided the path that would lead me to that dream.
When I began my studies with the College, I very quickly realised that I had made the right decision. The College allowed me to study in my time, by correspondence. I soon realised that there are no classrooms when it comes to styling – the world was my classroom. The College provided real life experiences and insiders’ knowledge that I could apply in the professional world as a working stylist.
I was provided with the tools, know-how and confidence to market myself as a professional stylist as well as how to establish myself within the industry.
After completing my course, I very quickly established myself as a professional stylist within the industry and worked with companies such as Milu, Bondi Body, Australian Fashion Guide, Chelsea, Cerri Jewellery, Abode Aroma, Polka Boutique and Just Be magazine, to name a few.
I was awarded with two international photography awards for the work I styled for photographer, Robert Earp. These images were given a ranking of 16 in the world. It is absolutely amazing to have my work recognised on the world stage and it’s moments like this when I truly have to pinch myself.
I was then offered the position of Head Fashion Stylist and Assistant Producer for PMP Digital, the largest and most professional studio space in the Southern Hemisphere. My working day revolves around shooting briefs, casting models, booking hair & makeup artists, scouting locations, drawing up shot lists, scheduling, applying for permits, pulling fashion & props and styling sets.
I work with a vast range of clients from multi-million dollar accounts to small boutique designers. I take my job very seriously and I owe my success to hard work, a true love for what I do and the skills which I learnt from the Australian College of Professional Styling.
My dream is now a reality. Everyday I am surrounded by the glorious fashion I use to only dream about. I am eternally grateful to the Australian College of Professional Styling for the support and knowledge that enabled me to become the professional stylist I am today.
