The Australian College of Professional Styling allowed me to formally reinforce and consolidate the knowledge that I had accumulated over years of being interested in styling.I learned a lot about styling in a range of contexts which has allowed me to narrow my focus to those aspects I have the most passion: interior and exterior spaces.
I have to say this is not the first course I have completed with the team at the College. I also undertook their interior design course with The Interior Design Academy. As with that course, the styling course tutorials were once again beautifully presented and I greatly anticipated receiving them every fortnight.
I found the readings and assessment tasks enjoyable and achievable. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to tap into my creative side and distract myself in a positive way. The nature of the tasks allowed me to dive deeper into my own interests and strengths. The tutorials and advice from my tutor provided helpful tricks of the trade learned through years of experience in the field. I will incorporate much of this advice into my future endeavours. Thanks to the nature of the course work, I completed it in my spare time at a pace that suited me. The resources gained on graduation are invaluable and will support my explorations into the styling profession for years to come.
Even with all that went on in 2020, my course ran uninterrupted throughout – the team at the Australian College of Professional Styling did not skip a beat with supporting my educational experience. This is the same experience I had with the team when working with them on my interior design course. I completed the entire course in about six months using the easy payment plan by selecting the fortnightly tutorial option.
I am using my enhanced skills and knowledge from this course and my interior design studies mentioned above to run a styling blog on my website (https://life-styled-tasmania.com.au/) and style my own life and that of my friends. I have gained a great deal of confidence and love that I can help people with the authority of the qualification I earned as a professional stylist. In the future, I hope to develop my skills further. I would certainly recommend the Australian College of Professional Styling to anyone who would like to upskill for personal or professional reasons.
