As store manager for Specialty Fashion Group, I have found the course has sharpened my eye for detail, especially with creating my window displays at work – which caught the attention of my area manager

With a passion for fashion, I started looking for a way to move into the styling side of the industry. The Professional Photo, Film, TV and Personal Stylist’s Course offered by the Australian College of Professional Styling was the perfect option.

The course was in-depth and really helped me to understand how the fashion industry works. The feedback given to me by my tutor was excellent and encouraged me to push myself further which, in this fast moving industry, you need to do.

I really enjoyed getting to know the industry terminology, as well as learning all the little things you need to consider in order to make your client’s experience great to lead to repeat work. Each tutorial was easy to follow and had lots information I find I still draw on every day at work.

As store manager for Specialty Fashion Group, I have found the course has sharpened my eye for detail, especially with creating my window displays at work – which caught the attention of my area manager. I’ve now been invited to visit other stores to show their store managers what they should be doing, and assisting with setting up new stores within the business.

I have also been using my new skills to style shows at the local theatre, where I have to take in to consideration the era, lighting and so on for the stage.

After doing this course, I feel I have such a bright future ahead of me to follow my passion and become a fashion stylist.
